Camille Tenerife

Therapist

I’m truly passionate about being a therapist.

Through my experiences as a black therapist in Los Angeles, I found my passion in working with the BIPOC community. Helping my community through therapy motivates me to do this job every day. I started this practice because it was important for me to focus on supporting people who may have similar experiences as I do. I want to help others lighten the load of being a part of a marginalized community while not just recognizing, but truly celebrating the beauty and strength that comes with it.

I want to support you in understanding yourself better so that you can make informed decisions - decisions that come from authenticity rather than fear or worry. I can help you make the scary decisions so that you can get out of your way, and make the best out of your life.

In working with me, you can expect professionalism and quality care.

My Story

I’ve been there.

Having lived in a different country and moving to the U.S. at age 16,  I felt out of control. I felt alone. I did my best to fit in by performing well at school, then at my job. Working hard and aiming high became my personality. I started to place a lot of my value on my performance and perfecting my perfectionism. Though achievement and productivity are rewarding, they were not long-lasting. I just chased the next best thing. Through my own therapeutic journey,  I stepped away from my to-do list and stepped into accepting all parts of myself. I want the same for you because you deserve to feel better. You deserve relief.

My Approach

I work with my clients with curiosity and compassionate accountability. I believe that you are the expert of your life and together, we can achieve your goals and work towards a better you.

My life experiences fuel what I do every day. Identity, sense of self, and performance are factors that we often come across. As a child, I was certain about what my life would look like in adulthood. And when events slowly did not go as planned, I lost myself. I put a ton of emphasis on achievement, and I forgot about other values and identities I had. I started to feel lost, confused, and angry.

If any of these resonate, I want you to know that you are not in this alone. There are moments in life when it can all feel so overwhelming. I get it, and I can help. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, so I tailor therapy to fit your goals and your current lifestyle.

I will help you uncover your blind spots and guide you to make tangible changes in your life. My goal is to help you improve your quality of life, find relief, and become the best version of yourself.
