Camille Tenerife

Therapist

Being a therapist is work I care deeply about. As a black therapist in Los Angeles, I’m passionate about supporting high-achieving individuals who carry a lot internally while continuing to show up for others. Many of my clients are navigating stress, identity, expectations, and the pressure to keep pushing forward even when they feel overwhelmed.

I started Diversified Therapy to offer a space where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and make decisions from a place of authenticity rather than fear or pressure. Therapy can be a place where you lighten the emotional load you’ve been carrying and reconnect with the parts of yourself that deserve attention, care, and compassion.

My Story

I know what it feels like to struggle with identity, belonging, and expectations.

During my transition to the U.S. in my teenage years, I remember feeling out of control and unsure of where I truly fit in. Like many people navigating big life changes, I tried to regain a sense of stability by focusing on achievement. I worked hard to perform well in school and later in my career, and over time striving and succeeding became a large part of how I defined myself.

Eventually, I noticed that constantly chasing the next accomplishment didn’t bring the sense of fulfillment I expected. I had placed so much of my value on productivity and perfection that I lost sight of other important parts of myself.

Through my own therapeutic journey, my relationship with achievement began to shift. I still value ambition and working toward meaningful goals, but my definition of success became much more holistic. Instead of measuring my life only through productivity or accomplishments, I began prioritizing the things that make life feel full - connection with friends & family, time in nature, community, travel, and doing work that genuinely feels meaningful to me. For a long time, I pushed myself to achieve because I believed I was supposed to. Now, I choose the things I pursue because they align with who I am and what I care about. The difference is that instead of feeling constantly drained, I now find energy in the parts of life that truly matter to me.

As a black therapist in Los Angeles, I’m passionate about supporting people who feel the pressure to always perform or hold everything together. You deserve a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and define success in a way that actually feels meaningful to you.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and compassionate accountability.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support you in exploring your experiences, identifying patterns that may be holding you back, and helping you move toward meaningful change.

Many of the people I work with find themselves navigating questions around identity, self-worth, and performance. It’s common to grow up with a clear vision of what life is supposed to look like—and when things unfold differently, it can leave you feeling lost, frustrated, or disconnected from yourself.

If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy can be a place where you slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

I place a strong emphasis on building a genuine therapeutic relationship and tailoring our work to fit your goals, values, and lifestyle. Together, we’ll explore your blind spots, develop practical tools, and create space for the changes you want to see in your life. My goal is to help you experience relief, improve your quality of life, and move toward becoming the most authentic version of yourself.
